For a long while, I couldn't stand pointed toe shoes. For a long while, when I was in search for the perfect round toe black flats, all there seemed to be was points. Points, points, points. Now that I have found the perfect black flats that aren't patent or have a bow...I want points. I have come to embrace my old black bowed patented shoes, now I want to embrace a pair of black pointed toe flats.

(flats are from Target)

I'm going to attempt the mall this Wednesday. Target is very close to the mall. I've been itching to try some heels. Because of the tall genes I've inherited from both my loving parents have made me...too tall. To the point where it actually hurt my knees. My friend convinced me that I am shaped like a model and I could "totally rock heels." I found a pair that seem like good starters.
(Oxfords from Payless)
I know I'm way late on the oxford style, but...these are affordable. For me. And a good start on the heel size.

Festively Dressed

I went and had dinner with my family at my Grandma's place and I thought it best to dress it up a little for her. Which, she liked. Although we had dinner in a nursing home, it was alright.
For some reason, I felt misplaced with what I was wearing. I'm not sure why.

Holiday Loot.

I am sad to see the cheerful holiday pass, I admit. Although, I'm wicked excited about my loot!
I started out the day doing the usual; making coffee, getting a slice of pumpkin bread, unwrapping gifts. It was a generally quiet day.

Zune HD! I have my first generation and second generation stolen...so this isn't coming to school with me unless I know I'll need it.

My favourite lip balm, Smith's Rosebud Salve.

Best hand cream in the world. I kept using my mom's (which I have conveniently out in the living room for our use) so she got me my own little tube, then a JUMBO tube.

Books! I've read Lost Souls before, when I was a freshman, but gah! I can't wait to read it again! The Teen Vogue Hand Book has certainly opened my eyes to fashion photography...it peaks my interest into the career more.

Kat Von D Eyeshadow. I'm quite in love with that nude eyeshadow, the photo does not do the colour justice.

Pangea Organics scrub and face mask. I'm excited to try these out.

Cute little freebie from Sephora. In Fact, most of the beauty products are freebies. My mother is sephora obsessed, so her points always get free items.

Philosophy Falling In Love (smells like black berries) and Kat Von D's Sinner. Funny story, I got my mom Kat Von D's Saint. There are two sides in all of us ;)

I'm seriously impressed with all of them.

Bravo parents.

Next up is my birthday (12 days).

B is for Bokeh

This is my first attempt at the style of bokeh. I really love how this turned out, because this is my first try. At first when I heard the term "bokeh", I didn't really know what to think except "what is that, specifically?"
Finally, after searching through many photographs that contain "bokeh", I understood, but did not see the challenge until I tried it myself.
I went through about 30 pictures, before deciding that this was the one to edit and present.
I learned that it isn't just about the unfocused lights and contrast, it's also about the placement of the lights, the colours, the content, etc. I love how it did challenge me.

A is for Angelic

Which is what my puppy thinks she is...

Lumières de Noël

There is something about warmer tones that always softens the blows of highschool. I had an in class essay on what makes Dracula a classic in English, a presenation in History, and photography projects due on Friday in Advanced Photo. Yet, with all the stress of the holidays warm clothes, my puppy and baking melts it all away.

Heureux Monde SIDA Jour!

It's AIDs Awareness Day and I even dressed accordingly, wearing my Africa 2012 shirt and my red AA pocket skirt. I had recently aquired a (RED)uce water bottle and coffee thermos.

(This picture is from about a month and a half ago, but I wore that outfit today)

On Monday...
I got braces (for the second time).

So this is the last picture of my smile for the next two months.

I was wearing black cardi from Emily The Strange; Purple/Red scarf from Fred Meyer's; Basic Grey T from Brass Plum; Black skinny tight jeans from Fred Meyer's; Wool ankle boots from UO. Not all is picture, because it was last minute before my appointment. At least their free and it's only for two months.

This outfit is from two weeks ago. I love love love, utterly love those Steve Madden boots.

I'm wearing...Army green jacket from Old Navy; Tan, black and green peacock tunic from Nordstroms; textured black tights from the drugstore; Black bamboom dress from Organic Matters; Boots by Steve Madden; Green tank top from Wet Seal; Tote bag from K-Mart.
